Reliability of leak detection
Place the Flood Detector close to a potential water leak, next to: washing machine, dishwasher, toilet, bathtub, washbasin, boiler or near a water or sewage systems.
The detector is fitted with special telescopic feet that have two important functions:
they act as flood probes – as soon as they come into contact with water, the sensor sends information to the Smart Hub, which in turn immediately notifies you of the incident with, for example, a push message,
as they can slide into the detector enclosure, they adjust their height to the surface on which the device stands – this ensures that all probes are perfectly aligned with the base surface, thus ensuring reliable detection of leaking water.
Automatic water shut-off
Connect the water shut-off valve to BE WAVE – use the Smart 2-CH Relay or Smart Plug for this and control the valve with the app or let the Smart HUB do it for you. In which cases will you use this option? When:
- a leak occurs and BE WAVE automatically shuts off the water supply to minimise losses,
- you shut off the water supply to your home or flat yourself using your app for the time you are away,
- the valves are closed automatically, for example as part of the “leaving the house” scenario.
- Upon receiving information about a failure, the Smart HUB can also automatically disconnect the power supply to sockets in a given room. This will limit the possible danger of electric shock.
Participation in heating control
The Flood Detector comes with another fantastic feature. As it is equipped with a temperature sensor, it will prove perfect for the task of maintaining or ensuring the temperature you expect from your underfloor heating at specific times. Make sure your feet can touch a nice, warm floor in your bathroom.

The device sends information about the incident to the Smart HUB in less than a second after detecting a leak.
Due to its efficient power management functionality, the battery installed in the Flood Detector can operate for an extremely long time without needing to be replaced. When in ECO mode, the device will run for up to several years. When the battery needs to be replaced, you will receive a notification in the app well in advance.
The splash-proof enclosure ensures the Flood Detector will operate correctly even if the divice gets wet from leaking water or during everyday activities such as floor cleaning.
Overview of the situation at any time
Make sure to give the detector a unique name in the application, preferably indicating its location. This will help you quickly identify in which room the failure has occurred.
