Press, switch, control

Smart Switch Controller is an in-wall module designed to work with buttons and electrical switches, such as those mounted on the wall. As a result, pressing or switching them can trigger specific actions in your BE WAVE system. This way, you can activate a smart home function, trigger an alarm in an emergency, or call for help. There are many possibilities — it’s up to you what will be implemented.

Buttons with additional events

Smart Switch Controller module can connect up to four independent buttons or switches. Each of them can perform a different task. What’s more, since the device supports so-called multi-clicks, you can trigger several different actions with a single button! Depending on whether you click once, twice, or three times, hold the switch down or release it, you can, for example:

Press once to turn the light on or off in the room

Twice to open the gate

And three times to turn off all the lights and close the windows

Or hold the button to activate a scenario, for example, “leaving the house,”, which in turn will turn the lights off, shut down all the electrical devices that do not need to be powered at the moment, switch the heating to ECO mode, and finally, activate the protection mode.

Small device, lots of functions

Personalize the tasks of the controller according to your needs – by preparing the appropriate routine in the BE WAVE app, you choose which action will be triggered by the selected button or switch connected to Smart Switch Controller. For example, one of them can activate a sequence of events that will help you manage your daily tasks more efficiently.

Remember, though: the following examples refer only to a single button, while each Smart Switch Controller can support up to four!

Leaving the home

When leaving the house, you head to the garage. Before getting into the car, you press a button on the wall. As a result, the garage door opens. Then, by clicking the same button three times, you activate the "exit" scene to: open the gate, close all windows (equipped with actuators), switch the heating to ECO mode, turn off the lights, and cut off power to selected electrical devices. Once the gates are closed, the protection mode will be activated, protecting your entire home and its surroundings.

Home office

Working from home? Adjust the room to perfectly suit your needs. Press the selected button on the wall, and activate a routine that ensures optimal lighting for working on the computer, a comfortable temperature, and proper air circulation.

Parents aren't home

Your kids are now old enough to stay home alone. Despite this, though, you always worry about their safety when you're away – and that's understandable. The buttons connected to Smart Switch Controller will help you regain peace of mind. Configure BE WAVE so that the button controlling the hallway light can also be used to send you information about any potential danger or to call for help. It's simple – one click turns the nearby lights on and off, and a triple click sends an alarm signal!

Safe seniors

Are you worried about the safety and comfort of your loved ones who live on their own? What if they feel unwell, and don’t have the strength to call the right number and explain what’s happening? The ideal solution for such situations is Smart Switch Controller module. Connect it to a selected wall button – then simply press and hold it, for example, to call for help or notify selected people that something is wrong. A short press, on the other hand, can be used to control the porch light.

Quick response from anywhere in the house

Were you woken up by a disturbing noise coming from the ground floor of the house? This isn't a horror movie—you don’t have to go downstairs in the dark to confront the intruder. All you need to do is use the wall button near your bed differently than you normally use it to turn on the light—double or triple click, for example. As a result, the alarm system will be triggered, and the security agency will be notified to come to your aid.

Silent alarm

In some situations, a loud alarm signal is not the best course of action. Perpetrators can be unpredictable, and the alarm may provoke impulsive behaviour. Protect yourself and your loved ones—trigger a silent alarm by pressing a discreet button, such as next to your bed. Moreover, a burglar who is unaware that an alarm has been triggered won’t feel pressured to flee immediately. This gives additional, valuable time for the security services you’ve just alerted to respond.

Compact and discreet

Smart Switch Controller is a compact device designed for use inside installation boxes. It works great, for example, in deep boxes behind wall switches, precisely the ones you can connect to the module. This method of installation ensures safe operation while maintaining the harmonious appearance of rooms—without disrupting your interior decor.

Easy to configure

You can easily add Smart Switch Controller to your system and configure its settings in a simple way in the app. Then, you can easily add more scenes and routines, which include a set of actions triggered by the buttons or switches connected to the module. What’s more, if one day you change your mind and want a particular button to control a different lamp, a few clicks in the app will be enough to change it!

Additionally, you don’t need to worry about updating the module’s firmware, as your Smart HUB will do it automatically without requiring the disassembly of the device.

Independent of the network

Smart Switch Controller is powered by a small battery, which you can quickly replace when needed—your BE WAVE will notify you about it in advance. The device does not need to be connected to the electrical grid, as the switches that work with it don’t need to be connected to the grid either. This allows you to use the module in places where no electrical wiring has ever been set up, or simply far from the wires hidden inside the wall.
