Carbon Monoxide Detector

Carbon Monoxide Detector

Protection against an invisible threat

The silent killer – beware of it

The silent killer, or carbon monoxide, is a highly poisonous gas. It is colourless and odourless, and slightly lighter than air, which makes it easy for it to mix with air and spread in it.

Initial symptoms of poisoning with carbon monoxide include a feeling of dizziness, nausea and general weakness, which are often mistaken for the symptoms of a cold. Over time, the headache grows worse, and vomiting, drowsiness, balance and consciousness problems start to occur.

Detect the danger in time

Prompt detection of the emergence of this dangerous gas is crucial for both life and health. To this end, install the Carbon Monoxide Detector in rooms where there is, for example, an oven, cooker, fireplace, boiler or other appliances where combustion (of e.g. wood, oils, gases, liquid fuels, etc.) takes place, or where chimney systems pass through.

Place does matter

Remember that, for proper operation, the Carbon Monoxide Detector should be installed at some distance from the potential source of a gas leak, but no further than 6 m from it. Considering the characteristics of the carbon monoxide, the optimum installation height of the device is between 1,5 and 2,2 m above the floor.

DANGER! Carbon monoxide!

The Carbon Monoxide Detector is a device that responds immediately to even small concentrations of carbon monoxide in the air. Consequently, it will signal the danger at a time when you have not yet started to suffer the adverse effects of inhaling the poison – so you can react straight away.

The built-in buzzer and LED will alert household members and a push notification will immediately appear on your smartphone.

React appropriately

The moment the detector lets you know that danger is lurking in the air, ventilate the room immediately. Open the windows and turn on the ventilation.
Remember also to locate the source of the carbon monoxide and remove it as soon as possible so as to avoid dangerous situations in the future.

Technology for health and life protection

The electrochemical carbon monoxide sensor, digital temperature compensation, and gas sensor monitoring – thanks to these solutions, the Carbon Monoxide Detector from the BE WAVE family is a well-thought-out and effective device that uses the best available technologies to protect your life and health.

Automate operations

If your windows are fitted with actuators and these are integrated with BE WAVE, as soon as the detector detects carbon monoxide, the Smart Hub will respond by slightly or fully opening the windows to start ventilation. Also, forced ventilation can be switched on automatically. The system responds within seconds to save what is most precious – life and health.
In the BE WAVE app, you can very easily create a procedure which, in an emergency situation, will automatically perform the tasks you have set. This solution is particularly important to protect children or the elderly, i.e. those who may not be able to handle the situation themselves when a danger arises.

Continuity of operation is essential

Owing to the advanced power management feature, the detector can run on a single battery for up to 8 years*. Information about its low level of charge will be displayed in the app. BE WAVE will let you know this in advance so that you can replace the battery at your leisure and ensure the continuity of detection and all the smart home functions the detector is involved in.

Convenient and simple installation

You will install the detector using the supplied installation tape without drilling into the walls.

1...2...3... and done

Irrespective of when you add the Carbon Monoxide Detector to BE WAVE, the start-up and configuration process is very quick and incredibly simple. Have a look at how to do it.
