Smart HUB is the heart of the BE WAVE system. It is a small device with extremely powerful capabilities. Its sleek, slim enclosure encapsulates technology that enables a wide range of interesting and handy functions, both in terms of automation and security.

The system is configured and operated using the BE WAVE app with a highly intuitive interface.

This makes it easy to work with, even for users who are not normally familiar with the latest technology. From the very first connection with the Smart HUB, the app will guide you through the steps of adding and programming individual devices. Everything will go quickly, smoothly and easier than you might expect!

Wireless connectivity

The Smart HUB manages the operation of all devices in the BE WAVE family. You can connect up to 128 of them in a single system. Most importantly, communication is via radio – so wires are completely unnecessary. The wireless system controller built into the Smart HUB uses the ABAX 2 technology, which has been well-known worldwide and appreciated by security professionals for many years. Its main strengths are the safety and reliability of communication, long range and advanced power management mechanisms, allowing some devices to run on a single battery for up to a few years.

One image worth more than...

The Smart HUB within the ABAX 2 system uses an additional, independent radio path to efficiently receive photos taken by the camera built into the Motion Detector Cam and extremely quickly transmit these images to your smartphone. This way you always know what is going on in your home!

Access

from anywhere in the world

The Smart HUB supports communication over Ethernet and via Wi-Fi, thus connecting to the Internet. So it is enough for your smartphone to have access to the network so that you can check in the app what is happening in and around the house and control all the system functions.

Connectivity

via the mobile network

Do you want to set up a BE WAVE system in a location that is cut off from the Internet – for example, a summer house in the woods? In such a situation, the Smart HUB Plus, additionally equipped with a telephone module, is the perfect solution. Using this, it can also communicate via 2G and 4G mobile networks.

The Smart Hub Plus has slots for two SIM cards – so you can fit cards from two different operators – if a connection to one operator’s network is lost, the module will automatically switch to the other card.

The mobile network can also provide a back-up communication channel for the Smart HUB Plus should WiFi or Ethernet fail.

No Internet at home?

Not a problem with BE WAVE!

A road repair crew cut a fibre optic cable? Your Internet provider has a breakdown? Even if the Smart HUB loses communication with the world, you will still be in control of the system.

You only need to be with your mobile device, on which the BE WAVE app is installed, within the range of the same home WiFi network as the Smart HUB. You can then continue to use your BE WAVE system despite the information in the app that the Internet connection is not available.

You can easily switch the security system off and on or give commands to individual devices.

The Smart HUB can also operate in the local mode, in which case it will broadcast the WiFi you need to connect to in order to control your BE WAVE.

The Smart HUB winks at you

The Smart HUB has a multicoloured LED indicator on its enclosure. Depending on the colour and the way it lights up, you will know what is currently going on with the device and the system. Just one glance and you know, for example, if the Smart HUB is connected to the Internet, if there is a problem (fault) or whether an alarm has been triggered.

Find out everything

Do you want to know if the security system has been switched on or if all the blinds have been lowered? Check the relevant option in the app to receive push notifications in selected situations. Both the system administrator and its other users can receive notifications of various events occurring in the system.

Got the Smart HUB Plus? This model can send you a text message about an event in the system or call your number to attract your attention as effectively as possible. This is particularly useful in situations that require an immediate response, such as when an attempted burglary or fire is detected. And also when the data transmission on your smartphone is switched off or the connection is too poor to transmit push notifications. In the case of SMS, you have more confidence that it will reach you, even despite weaker network coverage.

Call for help

Want to make your home even safer? Information about what is happening in it can be sent by the Smart HUB to the security agency monitoring your property. As soon as anything worrying occurs, such as a burglary or a fire, security staff will immediately take action.

The Smart HUB uses the so-called Dual Path Reporting, sending data to the monitoring station of the security agency via the Internet: WiFi, Ethernet and, in the case of the Smart HUB Plus, also via the mobile network. The device continuously monitors the connection to the security agency and, when something goes wrong, communicates with it by other means. This solution ensures that information is sent quickly and efficiently to one or even two monitoring stations.

High-capacity memory

The Smart HUB’s built-in memory saves a list of information about what has taken place in the system – it can hold 8,000 events. Meanwhile, a connected microSD card stores a backup copy of all system settings, measurement data from devices connected to the Smart HUB (e.g. temperature, power consumption, pressure), as well as photos: those uploaded by the user as images assigned to rooms in the app, as well as shots from Motion Detector Cam detectors. These data are secure in your Smart HUB and are not stored anywhere else.

We care about your privacy

The Smart HUB never stores your or other users’ personal data anywhere—all it needs is the login and password you created. All information regarding control settings, camera images, and photos sent via SATEL servers are encrypted.

Reliability and security of a server solution

The server infrastructure used by BE WAVE is based on a number of independent servers and services provided by global leaders in the “cloud computing” industry. The servers process data using the MQTT protocol, which ensures the stability of communication. Each Smart HUB is distinguished not only by a set of identifiers, such as MAC numbers – it also features a unique manufacturer’s certificate, based on which the device is authorized in the BE WAVE ecosystem. This ensures that it cannot be replaced or spoofed.

Communication between the Smart HUB and the BE WAVE mobile application is encrypted using the advanced AES256 algorithm or special keys, which are generated on the part of the Smart HUB. Thanks to that, no outsider has the ability to interfere with the whole process.

Always up-to-date software

Are you unsure if the firmware of your BE WAVE devices is up-to-date? Do you want your system to offer all the latest features? A notification will appear in the app as soon as an update is released.
One-click and it’s done – the latest software version will be installed on the Smart HUB and distributed to the other devices. You don’t need to go around updating each one by one. Everything happens automatically.

Power supply – convenient and reliable

You don’t need to be an electrician to connect the Smart HUB to power supply – just plug it into any mains socket in your home. During normal operation, the Smart HUB uses power from the 230 V AC mains.

However, in the event of a power failure, it will switch to an emergency power supply, which is a built-in standard 18650-type battery. You can be sure that the Smart HUB will work even if the power grid fails.
